When I started, all that had been created was a logo and style guide from an external agency. I developed the logo into it's final form, and created a finalized style guide for the brand in preparation for a reskin of the app and website. As part of the rebranding process (and throughout my two years here), I created many internal email templates, an email style guide, infographics, poster designs, swag, video animations, an icon and illustration library, and even a giphy library. I also created various logos for internal programs and promotions, and designed ads for internal and external marketing campaigns. I did the UI treatments for the reskin of the site and app which involved a more refined design sensibility and color palette. During this time, the company made major overhauls to the backend of our system, which allowed us to start offering more personalization to our users as well as measuring data more effectively. This helped us to make better informed decisions about new product features and how these features would impact our business and users. I also worked with the copywriter to craft marketing and UX messaging for all channels. In June 2020, I took over as the Lead Product Designer, which means I manage all product (UX/UI) design efforts for the company’s commerce industry web and app products. I also lead research initiatives and work with product managers and developers to define product strategy. Some of the projects* I have worked on include: User onboarding, feature planning for our internal merchant portal, a web-based user Hub with an updated UI, revamping our deal alert system on iOS/Android, designing a deal feed filtering system for iOS/Android, visual explorations of new universal deal tile patterns, and creating an all-new pattern library with a focus on accessibility.
